Cheap programming books for beginners

Cheap usually means cut down. These are not: eleven complete beginner books, each $2.99–$3.99, with the full chapter and project lists printed on every product page so you can check before you pay. Take all eleven as a bundle and the price falls to about $1.18 a book.

What under $4 actually gets you

Each book is written for someone who has never coded: it opens with installing the tools and writing your first program, then teaches one idea at a time in short chapters with worked examples, and ends with step-by-step projects you can show an employer. Nothing is held back for a paid tier — there is no paid tier. You get the whole book as a DRM-free PDF, emailed within minutes of paying, with no subscription and no account. If it is not what the page promised, email us within 7 days and we refund you in full.

Why can it cost this little? There is no print run, no warehouse, no shipping and no retailer margin — the file goes from us to your inbox. The trade-off is honest too: you get a PDF, not a printed book for your shelf, and these are our own titles, not famous publisher names. The programming books for beginners page explains how each book is put together.

What beginner books usually cost

A well-known printed beginner title typically sells for $23–$50 on Amazon, and big-publisher ebook editions commonly sit between $35 and $80. Those books earned their reputations and their prices are not a scam — you are paying for printing, distribution and a famous name. But if your budget is small and you want to start this week, the comparison looks like this:

One famous print book

$23–$50

One language, one book, plus delivery time. A good book — at ten times the price of one of ours.

One AheadKit book

$2.99–$3.99

One language, complete, in your inbox within minutes. ≈ ৳495 at the top of the range.

All 11, bundled

$12.99

Eleven languages for less than half of one printed title — about $1.18 a book, saving 64% on the singles total. ≈ ৳1,611.

Want the whole store instead — books plus planners, spreadsheets and packs? The Everything Bundle is $19.99 against $73.78 bought separately.

The honest part: some excellent books are free

If your budget is zero, start free and feel no guilt about it. Automate the Boring Stuff (Python), Python for Everybody and Eloquent JavaScript (JavaScript) are all free to read online, all written by respected authors, and all genuinely good. Plenty of people have learned from them.

So when is a $2.99–$3.99 book worth it? When you want one structured path written for an absolute beginner — short chapters in a deliberate order, nothing assumed, and guided projects at the end — instead of a reference written for readers who already know some programming; and when you want several languages in the same style for less than the price of a coffee. That is the specific gap these books fill. Read the free Python chapters and judge the pace yourself before spending anything.

Questions about buying cheap books

Are these full books, or cut-down versions sold cheap?

Full books. Each title is the complete book — its full chapter list, page count and project list are printed on its product page, and the bundle versions are the identical PDFs. The price is low because there is no printing, no shipping and no bookshop taking a cut: you pay for the file, once.

What do I actually get for under $4?

A complete beginner book for one language: it starts at zero with installing the tools and your first program, teaches one idea at a time in short chapters, and finishes with step-by-step projects. Across the 11 books that is 3,160 pages, 267 chapters and 101 projects. Delivery is a download link emailed the moment your payment clears.

How does the $12.99 bundle maths work?

Bought one by one, the 11 books come to $35.89. The programming books bundle is $12.99 for all 11 — about $1.18 per book, a saving of 64%. If you only need one language, buy the single book; the bundle only makes sense if you will open at least four or five of them.

What format are the books in, and what do I read them on?

Every book is a DRM-free PDF ebook. PDFs open on any phone, tablet or computer with a standard reader — no special app, no account, nothing to install. You can also print pages if you prefer paper beside the keyboard.

How do I receive my book after I pay?

The moment your payment clears, we email you a download link, and the same link appears on your confirmation page. The link works for 72 hours and up to 5 downloads. If you lose the email, fresh links are free from the redownload page, any time.

Can I read a book before I buy it?

Yes. The first three chapters of the Python book — Introduction, Variables and Data Types, and Numbers and Math, all 12 pages exactly as they appear in the finished book — are free from the free sample page. Every product page also shows the book's real cover, back cover and an interior page.

What if the book is not what the page promised?

Email marketer.salam@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase and we refund you in full. Say in one sentence what was wrong — that is all we need. The full policy is on the refunds page.

Is it one payment, or a subscription?

One payment. The files are yours forever — no subscription, no account, and if a file is ever corrected, the fixed version is free from the redownload page with your purchase email.

How do I pay?

Checkout takes you to a secure payment page run by Creem, our payment provider, where you can pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Prices are in USD with a local-currency equivalent shown beside them.

Start for less than a coffee. Keep the book forever.

Pick one language for $2.99–$3.99, or take all eleven for $12.99 — about $1.18 a book, with a 7-day refund if the books are not what this page promised.
